Well after this mornings nods you know what Oscar nominations mean, right? For the talented few that got snubed on nominations, and we'll discuss that in more detail another time, sorry Ben Affleck, but at least you and Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway. Will all feel better when you win in 3 more days during the 2013 Golden Globes!
Also excited are talented men like Bradley Cooper and tasty beauties like Jessica Chastain and Claire Daines rock the red carpet, and to be honest. There's nothing better seeing the elite of Hollywood attending the award show lined up end to end.
But one cute couple we know you can't wait to see this Sunday night on the Golden Globes are SNL veteran comedians,Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on center stage as hosts. Helping us not only laugh but seeing if our predictions for the Best Television Series Drama, Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series Drama, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series Drama categories. Are on target as in the memorable "Game of Thrones" Of course if you support other contenders in the mix, it's our suspicion that the TV Drama categories at this year's Globes will boil down to two shows: "Homeland" and "Breaking Bad."
In the case of "Homeland." The Showtime thriller is on a hot ratings bonanza, even though "Breaking Bad." the AMC drug drama has only gotten better with each passing season. In a race that comes down to two: the star of "Homeland," and the star of "Breaking Bad. But what about :Best Actor in a Drama likes of actor Jon Hamm in"Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm and "Boardwalk Empire" lead Steve Buscemi. The fan favorites still Bryan Cranston for "Breaking Bad." because there is no getting around the fact that Cranston's Walter White who is the most diabolocal likeable bad boy/ leading man on television right now.
But you ask how about the women? Welll for Best Actress in a Drama: Theres "American Horror Story's" now "Nashville's'' Connie Britton, Glenn Close, Michelle Dockery and Julianna Margulies beautiful talented actresses, all of them. But don't place any bets on Globes night. Especially on who wll and should win: Claire Danes for Homeland."Because woven as in the plot for the hunt for Abu Nazir and the twisted love affair between Carrie and Brody became more convoluted and frustrating with each passing day and episode.
As far as soundtracks, there's Adele's single, "Skyfall," will compete at the Golden Globes with Taylor Swift's song from"The Hunger Games," Jon Bon Jovi's number from "Stand Up Guys," Keith Urban's track from "Act of Valor," and "Suddenly" from "Les Miserable."
But on the big screen can "Zero Dark Thirty" achive victory? Will "Les Miserables" make us sing? Hmm...guess we'll all find out together Sunday night who the winners, will be once they get off the 'Golden Globes Red Carpet'! Presented Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
