Jennifer O’Malley is a busy pediatric physician in Dallas, Texas who loves her job and patients. Then she meets surgeon Tom Peterson who adds a new layer to her life, and introduces her to God. Since she has never had any interest in God she is unsure how to react to this, but Tom is patient with her.
As she learns more Jen begins falling in love with Tom, and wonders how she can introduce him to her family. She is the youngest of seven after all, and what will happen if she gives her heart to Jesus? Find out in Jennifer: An O’Malley Love Story by Dee Henderson.
I really enjoyed this book. The story is short and sweet but leads to more. If you have never read any of Henderson’s books you should know this is a prequel to her “O’Malley” series, and ends with a cliffhanger that is picked up in the first book of the series. I have not read any of the series but I definitely want to now to find out what happens, and I am sure you will feel the same.
God’s love and the song “Jesus Loves Me” are very prominent in this story. Jennifer has heard the song for years, and learns the true meaning of it through what she experiences here.
Overall, this is a sweet book that will make you want to read the rest of the series. I give it four and a half out of five stars.
If there is a book you would like me to review, please write it in the Comments.
