See Jay-Z & Kanye West's headache inducing 'In Paris' music video

Kanye West and Jay-Z have released a music video for their song 'Ni**as in Paris.' It's off their album Watch the Throne.

The song itself doesn't matter in this review. Normally it matters if the tone of the song and video match, but not so much here. It opens with a warning which informs us that this video has been identified as something that could potentially cause seizures, it reads "viewer discretion is advised." There should be another warning though, even if you aren't prone to seizures this video is still going to give you a headache.

'Ni**as in Paris' was filmed during a live performance by the duo at the Stapes Center in Los Angeles. Nothing wrong with that as both are good live performers. Unfortunately constant flashing lights, quick cuts, and mirrored effects grow wearisome quick. By the four minute mark it's simply annoying. A similar seizure warning was used for West's 'All of the Lights,' and while a lot of flashing and quick cuts were used, it wasn't done to such a grating degree.

This is a case where the video makes the song irrelevant, even if you like the song the video makes you want to turn it off. Kanye and Jay are better than this. Between the two countless great music videos have been made. But when people think of those great videos, 'Ni**as in Paris' won't be on the list.
