Top Dawg Entertainment's Schoolboy Q already has much steam coming into Oxymoron, having released prior albums and being featured on various artists' records. Half of this third album by Schoolboy Q is spent relishing in gangsta indulgences, and the other half is dedicated to uncensored reflection and remembrance. Schoolboy Q has a distinct talent for clearly illustrating traumatic instances from his past, through his lyrics and music. Plus, he has the help of his skilled friends in the rap industry to contribute the newest, freshest, most up to date sounds for the album. For Oxymoron, Q exposes several dimensions of his personality, and because he has put much heart into this project, it deserves the full attention of the music industry and the music consumer.
