The Lambertville-New Hope area is known for its scenic views of the Delaware River, its quaint charm, and its great restaurants. The Lambertville Station Restaurant is no exception. Located just before the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge, the Lambertville Station Restaurant sits on the river and offers picturesque dining and delicious food.
The restaurant belongs to the Lambertville Station Inn and was once a 19th century train station. The decor reflects that history but also combines modern comforts and elegance. Diners have the choice to sit in the main dining room, downstairs in the wine cellar for wine and tapas, the pub for more casual fare, or if the weather permits, outside by the canal. On Sundays, a special brunch is offered in the ballroom of the Inn which sits directly on the river and offers beautiful views.
The dinner menu in the main dining room of the Lambertville Station Restaurant, which happens to be the same menu if you choose to dine outdoors, canal side, offers both a mixture of classic American fare and unique restaurant favorites. Choose to start off with lobster crab bisque or a tuna tartare cocktail or one of their other various appetizers, salads and soups. Main courses include traditional items like filet mignon and mashed potatoes, or maple mustard salmon as well as non-traditional entrees like their elk rib-eye, or pan seared quinoa patty topped with grilled avocado. The crab cakes are to die for and come full of juicy lump crab meat and very little filler. They are served with delicately flavored saffron rice and seasonal vegetables.
The restaurant also makes a point to use local farms whenever possible and fresh herbs directly from their garden, which is on display in the restaurant.
