The first word to describe actress Scarlett Johansson wouldn't be subtle, which makes her all the more interesting as the face of Dolce & Gabbana's lightweight scent The One.
The top notes for D&G's The One include a citrus blend of bergamot and mandarin with luscious lychee and succulent peach. The middle notes have a combination of madonna lily, muguet and jasmine. And the base notes are slightly fruity with plum, and include precious vetiver, vanilla and sweetened amber musk.
Initially the fragrance is a little on the sour side but a flowery fragrance quickly emerges. It'll take a couple of sprays for The One perfume to be noticeable, which is a good thing.
When the fragrance airs out, it's a mix between powdery and a bouquet of flowers, but it still has that lighter, airy fragrance that's best suited for formal events. D&G may be on to something with this one. Less is more, and Johansson -- although noticeably stunning -- doesn't appear to go out of her way to make a point of it.
Same goes for this fragrance. Come close. Breathe it in. Enjoy it.
