Black Veil Brides return to the scene with their new album Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones. Since signing on with Universal Republic Records, their music and mixing has purified. Their older records sound more gritty and unclear, but W&D is refined vocally and musically. The best BVB album so far!
Wretched and Divine boasts a bounty of narrated interludes (by Andy Biersack) and string accompaniment (presumably by Ashley Purdy and Jinxx) that set the atmosphere and tone of the album. These short clips endorse the album's message without getting in the way. This album is amazing!
The hard rock band still maintains their dystopic, gothic wardrobe. They perform songs supporting self-worth and encouragement in a discouraging world. They cry out "rise up and be rock and roll personified." This amazing band comes complete with:
- Andy [Six] Biersack - Revolver Magazine's 100 Greatest Living Rock Stars 2011 winner
- Jake and Jinxx - Revolver Magazine's Golden God Awards: Best Guitarists 2012,
- CC - Alternative Press: Drummer of the Year Award winner
- Ashley Purdey - Nominated Kerrang! Award for Hottest Male 2012 (Really good bassist/back vocalist too!)
Songs:
- For the masses: I Am Bulletproof, Wretched and Divine, Shadows Die
- Too catchy for its own good: We Don't Belong, Days Are Numbered, In The End
Release Date: 8 JAN 13
Sounds Like: Holy Grail, Five Finger Death Punch, Misfits, Sixx:A.M.
