Savor Dallas: Dallas Arboretum hosts perfect food and beverage evening (Photos)

For the closing night of Savor Dallas, event organizers couldn't have hoped for a better event. Sunday evening's Savor The Arboretum brought together an diverse sampling of restaurants, beverage purveyors and other artisan culinary artists at the Dallas Arboretum. In the midst of the Dallas Blooms, where tulips lead a host of spring flora, this intimate gathering was perhaps the finest and most comfortably paced event of the weekend.

Attendees were regaled with green beads for St. Patrick's Day and leisurely ambled throughout garden basking in the golden sunbeams of a perfect spring evening enjoying to the smooth strains of the Marc Toussaint Combo. Carrying both a plate and a wine glass didn't stop the crowd from expressing appreciation, especially when the stage was flanked by a selection of cake balls from Breadwinners Cafe, and a selection of wines from The Dean's List.

Notable standouts from the evening were from Bull Asian Fusion Bistro with a Korean Barbeque Mix Grill Skewer and a Spicy Seared Beef Salad, The Jelly Queens with an absolutely luscious Blood Orange and Lavender Jelly (it's good enough to eat right out of the jar), and E Bar Tex Mex with a solidly hearty Pork Taco.

The Takeaway: If we had to choose, Savor the Arboretum would be our favorite event from Savor Dallas this year. The location was stunning, the crowd just the right size, and the pace comfortable. There's more to enjoy in the slideshow, so be sure to check it out!
