Synopsis from IMDb:
Satan's Angel is a legend among burlesque dancers. Her legacy is filled with San Francisco counter culture, Las Vegas stage door Johnnies, and a sexuality she refused to closet. Angel has amassed four decades worth of fascinating, colorful, and riveting stories as she's traveled the globe performing the art of burlesque. This unique film documents her love for the craft and preservation of burlesque as well as her love for her life partner Vic.
Angel has been married several times, always picking men who showed up at her performances more than a few times. However, her sexuality was obvious to her at a very young age. In the early days she had to stay closeted, even swearing she was straight as men were beating her half to death because they knew the truth.
Her legacy includes a whole new generation of dancers who love and respect Angel. Such dancers as:
Kitten Navividad, Angie Pontani, Tara Mi Sioux and Cinnamon Britches are just some of the new crop that adore Angel.
This film shows Angel from her salad days, with two of the most gorgeous boobs ever seen, to her stardom that stretched all over the world to today. She is happy with her life partner Vic today and still the power pack that she always has been.
This documentary takes one from seeing a brash Satan's Angel to a sweet woman who mentors other dancers and spends time with her partner and her mom.
Well made, this documentary is a must see for aspiring dancers and anyone who loves a good doc.
