Steve Smallman has written a wonderful series of Santa books for children between the ages of four through eight where Santa visits a city such as Boston, St. Louis, or even a state such as Michigan or even the child’s home, in which it personalizes the book for the child.
In Santa is Coming to Chicago, Santa is flying over Chicago landmarks such as The Bean, Trump Tower and The Wrigley Building. Illustrator Robert Dunn implemented special touches as the lions in front of The Art Institute and an owl in a snowy tree, a snowman nearby or a glass of milk for Santa with a plate of cookies and a carrot for hard-working reindeers. Nothing was left out.
Even though the story seems very real all characters in this book are fictional. This book is highly recommended for little children to be good as they await their visit from the jolly guy in the red suit. These are personalized books and a five star-stocking stuffer delight.
