When moving to a new area, it is essential to find the best places to eat for those nights when cooking at home is as likely as balancing the national budget. After working in Cape Coral, FL for the past five months and living here for one, I have started a pretty good list. Near the top of that list you will find Sal's Pizza.

Take a drive down Cape Coral Pkwy and you will see signs dotting the street proclaiming, "Sal is BACK!" Apparently, the original Sal had taken a hiatus from the pizza making trade and due to popular demand and the outcry of the locals, Sal has returned to the South Cape.

There is nothing super glamorous about the restaurant. This is not a place you go to if you're looking for frills or fine dining. This is a down-home place where you go to get a good slice of pie and enjoy a meal with your friends or family. The menu offers a variety of pizza, calzones and salads at very affordable prices. The pizza is the best when Sal is in the kitchen.

Want to save even more money? Sal's Pizza does a lot of promoting and you can be sure that he is offering great deals to get you in the door. To get the latest offers for the food at Sal's, be sure to check your mail on the 1st Tuesday of the month, Sal's has an ad inside The Better Coupon Book with great offers to save you a few bucks. For additional money saving offers, check out their website and join the mailing list.

Look for my upcoming "Pizza Wars" post! I will be putting Sal's Pizza head-to-head against other Cape Coral pizza shops. In the meantime, make sure you stop by The Original Sal's Pizza and try for yourself.
