Decorated with a cute Island Theme, the staff is friendly and helpful when choosing your selections and the seating area is inviting. They offer daily specials. Upon arriving and viewing their menu, you may have trouble deciding what to order, as everything looks and sounds good… and it is! To view the menu and get more information on the restaurant, which is a chain, visit their website at:

The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. If you are in the mood for a Rice Bowl, all bowls come with your choice of Chicken, Steak, Luau Pork, Steak & Chicken, Veggie, Shrimp, or Organic Tofu for your choice of protein. They add rice (your choice of white or brown, or noodles if you prefer) and sautéed vegetables (a blend of broccoli, carrot, zucchini and celery), and then you choose from Hawaiian Teriyaki (regular or spicy), Jamaican Jerk Bali Island, or Honey-Orange for your flavor. The rice bowl we had was delicious, with the white rice perfectly cooked, the Chicken perfectly grilled and just the right amount of Teriyaki. The bowls are offered in your choice of a half or full portion.

If you are a burger lover, be prepared for the best Island Style Burger you have ever wrapped your mouth around when you order the Kahuna Burger. The Kahuna Burger consists of 2 patties of beef marinated in teriyaki sauce, grilled pineapple, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Other burger and sandwich offerings include the Rumbi Beach Burger, Volcano Chicken Sandwich (grilled blackened chicken breast, red onion cilantro mayo, swiss cheese & lettuce topped with homemade pineapple salsa), the Surf Club Sandwich, the Luau Pork Sandwich (slow-roasted pulled Kalua Pork, mayo, and Asian slaw served with tangy Kahuku BBQ sauce), and the Island Chicken Sandwich.

Sides (called Extras) include Regular or Sweet Potato Fries, or Rumbi Fries, which is a mixture of the two. Sides of rice, Asian slaw, Chips & Tropical Salsa, Island Mac Salad, Tempura Shrimp, and Noodles with Hawaiian Teriyaki Sauce are also available.

Entrees include Volcano Blackened Fish, Salmon or Mahi, served with Caesar salad and choice of rice, Luau Pork Plate, Caribbean Chicken and Shrimp, and Cabo Fish Tacos. Portions of everything we tried were generous and delicious.

Eight different salads were offered, with names like Aloha Chicken Salad and Voodoo Chicken Salad. Check out the selections and wonderful ingredient combinations at .

If you manage to save room for dessert, try the Key Lime Pie, Maui Mango Cheesecake, Brownies or Cookies.

With 21 locations in 5 states (mostly Utah and Arizona) we are certainly glad they opened a location in Las Vegas. If you haven’t tried this unique restaurant yet, go and wrap your mouth around a taste of the Islands – you’ll be glad you did!
