The Badgley Mischka Fall 2013 Ready to Wear collection was quite the hit as it debuted today during New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The collection was filled with beautiful dresses that remind the world why Badgley Mischka has always been and always will be such a well known name in the fashion industry. Pieces that seemed royally inspired flooded the runway.
Floor length gowns have always been Badgley Mischka's signature style. Styles made for the red carpet graced the runway in beautiful hues of red, ivory, black, and neutral palettes. Metallics were cleverly utilized to make this collection regal. There were a few art decor pieces that stood out as well. With the combination of classic colors, clever tailoring, and abstract prints, this collection was definitely one fit for a queen. The floor length gowns boasted sophistication, with classic necklines boasting from boat neck and sweetheart to strapless. Many of the gowns had a fluid flow to them, skimming the models' bodies gracefully as they strutted down the runway.
Tailored suits were not forgotten with this collection, as Badgley Mischka reinvented the sleek tailored women's business suit in a timeless way, keeping it simple and elegant.Blazers were paired with wrap skirts, and prints danced across full skirts. Furs were utilized with this collection as well, adding even more glamour to print dresses. Subtle peplum styles added edge to simple fitted minimal inspired dresses. This was indeed a collection fit for royalty. Standouts of this collection included the gold embroidered jacket paired with a black pencil skirt, beautiful Grecian inspired gowns in light neutral tones, and the breath taking gold art decor inspired floor length gown with a sheer hemline.
