I was looking for a leopard faux fur vest to add a touch of animal print to outfits this Fall season and found this one by label “Cejon” with an oversized lapel on “Best Offer” on eBay. Faux fur vests are also very much on-trend this season.
Similar Cejon items normally retail for around $60-70 at luxury department stores and this little vest was listed at $30 or best offer. I managed to negotiate the item, listed as “new without tags” and ”never worn” at $20, shipped.
At size XL, the Cejon vest measures 21 inches from armpit to armpit, which makes it a chest measurement of around 42 inches. The back, measured from the neckline to waist is 24.5 inches, so at least it’s not all that cropped. It has a hook closure like most (faux) furs.
If you’re busty, the vest may be a little bit on the snug size and the chunky oversized lapels may make you appear bustier. You can always wear the vest unhooked.
As it turns out, the vest was literally stuffed, jam-packed, into a manila envelope so that it looked like a sausage! The “new” vest appeared to be a bit scruffy, and sprayed with a fruity deodorizing scent that is used by thrift stores and smokers to disguise any smells!
Looking for some more “negotiating” room, I contacted the seller with the condition and smells from the item, which was supposed to be brand new, never worn!
Naturally, the seller was a bit defensive but instead of bringing the price down, he gave me a total refund and told me to keep it! I couldn’t argue with that…
