The Melvins' front man Buzz Osborne has shed his trademark Muumuu and the rest of his band in pursuit of world domination with a new acoustic solo project aptly named after his infamous moniker, "King Buzzo". After three decades in the music industry King Buzzo has decided to put the pants back on literally, and tour the world in support of his first solo album 'This Machine Kills Artists'. The album was released June 3, 2014 via Ipecac Recordings and was recorded without electric guitars, amplifiers or direct boxes. 'This Machine Kills Artists' was written to be performed live and King Buzzo has hit the ground running in that direction.

Currently in the midst of the US portion of the King Buzzo world tour, Osborne stopped at the A&R Music Bar in Columbus, Oh. and with gnashing of teeth and shredding of his acoustic guitar, proved that he is one fierce, raw entity on the stage. This is not a retirement tour. This is not a last ditch effort for your unsung hero to stand on a pedestal and play softly to an adoring crowd of aged fans. Buzz Osborne is more than alive and well friends, he is a mad muse to the audiophile's soul.

On this tour King Buzzo sheds not only the Muumuu, but his stoic, down to business on stage demeanor as well. The best part of the show, besides the mind blowing guitar and spirit-shaking vocals, is the light-hearted banter King Buzzo engages in with the crowd. He jokes, smiles, talks a bit about himself and regales the crowd in stories from his long run with industry legends such as Mike Patton, Iggy Pop, and more. Hence this article title. For Columbus fans Osborne reminisced about a time the Melvins were booed off stage preceding a performance by Mr. Bungle. The irony of which is that Mike Patton, and Mr. Bungle, had hand picked their direct support for the show and were none too happy that the crowd treated them with such disrespect. In a display of retaliation Patton is alleged by Osborne to have defecated into the audience. Osborne expected press to run with the shocking story; "Rockstar sh*ts on audience" but to his surprise it was never mentioned.
