Every once in a while a comedic actor come along who touches your life, causes you to smile, laugh and feel good about yourself and the world around for just a little while. John Candy was one of those actors and Robin Williams was definitely a cut above all the rest. He was a comedian extraordinaire.

In the show Mork and Mindy which ran from 1978 to 1982 millions of viewers were introduced to, "Williams unique brand of wackiness" states Melissa Locker of Time.com. She goes on to say his, "dedication to the character and willingness to do anything for a laugh made viewers realize that Williams was an actor — not just a comedian."

Over the decades Williams had a string of hit movies most of them comedies, but there was a few serious movies and a couple of Disney cartoons featuring a quirky genie.

Some of the highlights of Williams career after Mork and Mindy include:

  • Dead Poets Society
  • Aladdin
  • Good Will Hunting
  • Hook
  • Mrs Doubtfire
  • Good Morning Vietnam
  • Jumanji

These are only a few of Williams theatrical gems. There are many more movies and show spanning his career starting in 1977. At the time of his death Williams had three other movies coming out two in 2014 Merry Friggin' Christmas, Boulevard and one in 2015, Absolutely Anything. He also had a fourth movie in post production 'Night at the Museum 3' where he reprized his role of Teddy Roosevelt.

His most recent television role was on the CBS show 'The Crazy Ones' where he played the head of an advertising agency. The show featured Williams at his comedic best. Critics did not like the show and sadly is was cancelled after

In addition to his acting career Williams also made people laugh with his stand up comedy.

The world will truly miss his smile and and the joy he appeared to have even through all the times of personal darkness. His passing has hit the nation and the world really hard. The reason is so many grew up watching him in his many roles and grew to love him for not only his comedy but also as a person.

All that is left to be said is Rest in Peace Robin Williams. Our hearts and prayers go out to your family and friend s. You will be missed.
