If you’re setting out on a road trip, the last thing you want is to find yourself hungry in the middle of nowhere, with nothing for a snack. Instead of finding yourself in this situation, or having to pay high prices for what is often a very limited selection of questionable options at roadside convenience stores, it’s easy enough to plan ahead and pack some tasty treats to enjoy while you are on the road. Nature Valley Greek Yogurt Protein Bars are a great choice for just such an occasion.
Great Road Trip Snack Item
For those times when you need a sweet treat while on the road, Nature Valley Greek Yogurt Protein Bars are a great option. Nature Valley Greek Yogurt Protein Bars taste great and are an excellent pick-me-up for travelers since each serving (a full bar) provides ten grams of protein. These bars are available on supermarket shelves and come in two flavors – mixed berry and strawberry. Ingredients include real fruit, as well as whole grain oats and crunchy pieces of peanuts and almonds.
The folks at Nature Valley sent me a few boxes of their Greek Yogurt Protein Bars to try for myself, so I can say from my own experience that they are a terrific choice for road trips. I packed them for an RV trip from southern Alabama to Austin, Texas and enjoyed several of the bars along the way. I found these bars to be a perfect road trip snack item, as well as a convenient choice for a quick breakfast that is much healthier than anything you could pick up at a fast food restaurant as you’re getting back on the road after an overnight stay. Both of the flavors taste good, though the mixed berry is my favorite of the two options.
Affordable Travel Snack Option
While you can actually purchase these bars at some convenience stores, an even better plan is to take some with you. You’ll already be prepared when hunger strikes, and the prices you’ll pay in supermarkets or your favorite warehouse stores will likely be much lower than what you’d find in a convenience store. A box of five Nature Valley Greek Yogurt Protein Bars generally costs less than $4 at the supermarket, and 18-packs are available for less than $10 at Sam’s Club stores.
