Located adjacent to the Savannah River, across from the golf Mecca of Augusta Ga, and the Masters Tournament the Rivers is a flatter course than those in the area, with more water and wet lands. The Rivers offers travelers a group of cottages along the 18th fairway and provides package offers for golfers.

Condition:

No course in the South Carolina is in perfect condition, well except its Georgia neighbor, but the Rivers is as good as can be expected. The greens were fast to exceptionally fast, the fairways thick with overseeded turf. The bunkers are deep and numerous, and in good shape, plenty of sand.

Rating TTTT Green Speed Fast

Playability:

Plenty of tee choices, so you can pick your poison. The course has few forced carries, but has plenty of water and sand. The fairways are wide enough and unlike many courses have parallel holes so you can spray it and still find it, that is if you don’t hit it into the water lurking everywhere.
Rating TTTT1/2

Amenities:

The cottages are great, large and spacious, the two smaller sleeps 8 or if you are real friendly 16. The larger sleeps 12. The course has a full range a nice pro shop and restaurant, you can book your trip with a full off the menu breakfast included.

Overall:

If you want to take a southern winter golf trip with your friends or just someone you tolerate, this is a great place. The Rivers will work with you to book other courses, a couple that will be reviewed later. The packages are affordable and you cant beat the Rivers for condition and challenge in a winter trip.
