Riddick (Vin Diesel) betrayed by his own and left for dead on a desolate planet. He has learned how to survive against alien creatures. In the opening scenes we see Riddick fighting the animals that look like cheetahs but with much more ferocity and force.
When the bounty hunters arrive they think it will be easy pickings to capture Riddick. What they weren't expecting was the storm of creatures that would be coming for them. Boss Johns (Matt Nable) is out to get Riddick. He will do so even at the risk of losing his own life. Johns had a son that was a junkie and would die from it. He blames Riddick. The two are forced at one point to work together to get back to the ship.
You see they had taken off to get something buried and when they left on Hogs the one crashed. When they had dug up the treasure one of the crew attacked them. He wanted it all for himself. The creatures came and attacked. Riddick took them on saving Johns. Johns repays him by leaving on the last hog and going back to the ship without Riddick.
In a surprising turn of events Johns and what's left of his crew Dahl and Diaz (Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista) to name a few, go back and pick him up.
This movie is hard to get into. Director David Twohy does not help with the story and leaves you to wonder what is happening. There is a lot of fighting with the creatures but that is about it. If you want fight scenes with creatures that look similar to cheetahs then this is your movie. Vin Diesel must be desperate for money. Putting his name with this movie is a joke.
