I became aware of the uses and benefits of coconut oil during my research on a popular health & wellness blog some time last year. I was skeptical, like most, due to the years of it being ingrained that coconut oil was not good for you. As I continued to read more documentation about health professionals being wrong all of these years, I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a shot. If I saw the health benefits they proclaimed - great. If not, I would just stop using it and search for an alternative.

I used a popular - and relatively inexpensive - brand for a months. I was very pleased with the coconut oil and absolutely noticed a difference in my health, skin and hair. After months of use, when I purchased another time, I noticed the quality seemed to decline. Due to using the oil for not only cosmetic uses - but medicinal - I wanted to make sure I had as high quality as possible. One of my favorite health blogs shared a post on 101 uses for coconut oil and mentioned Tropical Traditions as one of her favorite brands. I started to see that name pop up more during my research and decided to try it out for myself.

I was given the opportunity to review Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil for my column and had the pleasure of corresponding with Jennifer in the customer service department. Once I received my order, I had a lot of questions! Jennifer was amazing and went above and beyond at answering every one. As I had become accustomed to my normal brand, I was not used to the process used to make their Organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. She explained via email (and called too!) to let me know about the difference in taste and smell. Jennifer was kind enough to even send out a new order. I was told that over time as I opened the coconut oil, the strong smell and taste would lessen. That in fact was the case as the weeks went on.

I decided to let the results speak for themselves and continue to use the oil. I have been eating it off of the spoon and rubbing it on my skin (specifically my psoriasis) twice a day. It has been over a month, and I have noticed an improvement in my energy levels, elimination and digestion. I also will stay full just from the oil when used as a snack. It's a great energy booster first thing in the morning.

Overall I am more than pleased with the results of the coconut oil as they are seen as well as felt. I highly recommend it! I will continue to take it and will update my post with any changes. One of the great things about Tropical Traditions is there commitment to overall health. They frequently post helpful and informative health & wellness articles on their Facebook page, and I suggest you became a fan. They also regularly offer a variety of great deals and sales on all of their products. For more information, visit https://www.tropicaltraditions.com/.
