Quattro Tasti is a brand new deli that recently opened in Forney, Texas. They are located at 571 S. FM 548 in suite #124, near Forney High School. The residents who live south of Hwy. 80 will be thrilled to have a deli on their side of town, and those who live north of Hwy. 80 may just find that Quattro Tasti is worth the drive.
The deli is located near two new businesses, The Hole Thing Donuts and Lazy J Coffee. Quattro Tasti is primarily a sandwich shop, but they also make homemade soups, salads and pizzas. Though they serve cold sandwiches, I can attest that both the cold and hot sandwiches are simply delicious. The chicken salad sandwich on wheat berry bread went perfectly with a nice side of potato soup. The soup tasted more like baked potato soup, but it was really good. They generally have two soups of the day available, and the selection changes day to day.
I tried the “Peanut Butter and Banana” sandwich on toasted panini bread, and it reminded me of my childhood. Your kids will probably love the PB & B sandwich, but don’t be afraid to pull an Elvis and try it out for yourself. I’ve ordered it twice. It comes with apple slices so it’s really a tasty but healthy meal. We also tried the “Italian Beef” that comes hot with sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onions and provolone cheese on a hoagie roll. It is mouthwateringly good.
The potato salad went well with the meat and poultry sandwiches, and there is a variety of different salads to try by themselves or with a sandwich. You can also order a lunch special with half a sandwich and a side salad or soup such as their Tomato Basil, for less than $6. The drink cost extra and additional side dishes are $1. Two whole sandwiches with two sides and two fountain drinks cost me just under $21.
I really look forward to trying what I have heard is a delicious pizza, on my next visit to Quattro Tasti. It’s nice to have options, especially for the south side of Forney that was left out in the retail cold for far too long. Stop in and give them a try and let me know what you think!
