Today we’re looking at a few cases from Qmadix. These are the Qmadix Groove series for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

You’ve seen this style of case before, but usually it is in two separate pieces. The Qmadix Groove offers the same protection but with the simplicity of a one piece case. All cutouts match up fine and with a larger than necessary cutout for the camera and flash; you won’t have to worry about shadows cast from the case. The Qmadix Groove is a solid offering from an up and coming case maker. The price point needs some reconsideration in my opinion, but you won’t be disappointed by the quality of the case.

Thank you again to Qmadix for supplying their product for review.

Main advantage: one piece simplicity with dual material shock protection

Main concern: price is a bit high for an emerging brand, same price point as the already established Trident Aegis which also offers charging port and headphone jack covers as well.

Unique features: solid construction, one piece case that combines hard shell and soft interior

How much: $34.95 on qmadixonlin.com

Alternatives: Trident Aegis, case-mate tough, and many more

Is it worth buying: The case-mate is only $5 more and the Trident as I mentioned is the same price with more protection offered. The Qmadix cases are very solidly made and it seems like they can carve out a place for themselves. Without offering any real innovation in their case though, they need to at least beat the market on price to get their name out there.
