The hair chalk trend is being embraced by many cosmetic brands and The Body Shop is no different. It recently added its own formulation and I gave it a test drive. The Body Shop Hair Chalk comes in two colors, "Tickle Me Pink" and "Falling For Blue". The chalk comes in a twist off compact that serves as a applicator. To apply, pull a section of hair and run it through your hair with your thumb underneath. This method is much easier and cleaner than sticks of hair chalk. After a couple of pulls or when the hair has the depth of color you want, spray it with hairspray.

I was able to curl my hair with the chalk in it, with only a little of it landing on the styling appliance ( and wiping off easily). I decided to leave it in my hair overnight. I was concerned about it getting on my pillowcase, so I used an old one. It didn't transfer (if you have a lot of chalk it still might) and it washed out with no problems.

The Body Shop Hair Chalks are $12 each, but you rarely have to pay full price. The Body Shop has rotating promotions that include 40 percent off, Buy 2 Get 2 free and more. Join the "Love Your Body" membership club and for $10 you will get 10 percent off purchases for a year, a birthday gift (up to $10), points good toward future purchases and special email offers.
