Type of Indie Film: Action / Drama

Out of 5 Stars (Bad, OK, Good, Great, Awesome): 3

Bounty hunters are often seen as enigmatic people with glamorous and dangerous lives. Rich people are often thought of in the same way, if you stop to think about it. So what happens when a rich girl sheds her 90210 status for a life of chasing bad guys? You get “Domino”.

Domino Harvey (Keira Knightley) is a girl from the Beverly Hills kind of world. Her mother wants nothing more than for Domino to fit in with the socialite crowd, but the nun-chuck wielding teen wants nothing to do with them. After a stint in modeling, Domino realizes that she wants more out of life. Fearless, beautiful and good with weapons, Domino joins a team of bounty hunters.

After teaming up with Ed Moseby (Mickey Rourke) and Choco (Edgar Ramirez), Domino begins living the life she’s always wanted. However, when a TV producer (Christopher Walken) sees a business opportunity, things get hectic, money gets stolen and people get killed.

Because of the trippy editing that Tony Scott does to the film, most people either love this movie or hate it. There is no real in-between. Having said that, if you go into the viewing process with an open mind and a taste for action, then there’s no real reason why you shouldn’t enjoy this film. You can tell that everyone had a good time making this movie, which in turn makes it enjoyable for the audience. Knightley is gorgeous in this film and she will make you want to stock up on weapons of your own. With appearances by actors such as Lucy Lui, Mo’Nique and Macy Gray, this movie is a wild ride.

You can find “Domino” at any of Tulsa’s local Blockbuster and Family Video stores.
