If you haven’t seen Disney’s Frozen yet and you’re looking for something to do on New Year’s with the family then I highly recommend seeing this film. Frozen will melt your heart this holiday season. It’s a beautiful story that shows just how the sister bond truly is. The story chronicles Princess Elsa and her younger sister, Princess Anna. Princess Elsa has magical powers where anything she touches turns to ice & snow (quite cool actually) and as a child she makes all sorts of fun things like ice slides and a snowman named Olaf for her sister Anna, until one day the magic goes awry and Anna gets hurt. The royal family journeys to the legendary Valley of the Living Rock to seek the help of trolls who help Anna and remove the memory of her sister's ability from her mind. Elsa becomes so afraid of hurting someone again that she stays in her room basically forever until her coronation day as Queen (after her parents die) so she can learn to control her powers.

Unfortunately Elsa has not learned to control her powers and during the coronation party, when Anna decides she’s going to marry a man (Prince Hans) she’s known for one day, Elsa becomes enraged, accidentally unleashes her powers and leaves the Kingdom of Arendelle trapped in eternal winter and builds a new castle made of ice in the mountains for her to live in isolation. It’s here that the epic quest of fearless optimist Anna begins. She teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven to find her sister Elsa and ask her to change back Arendelle to the way it used to be. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (the BEST character ever!!), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

In conjunction with the Frozen, Disney introduced a diverse collection of consumer products including plush stuffed animals, dolls, apparel, accessories, home décor and more that capture the adventure and fun from the movie. The 18” plush Olaf is one of my favorites. You’ll fall in love with this hilarious and adorable snowman. Little girls will love to play dress up with the Anna Costume Accessories Set, which comes earmuffs, earrings, necklace, and mittens, adorned with satin bows and shimmering gems. Other items include 12” dolls of the main cast to recreate scenes from the film, which includes Anna, Elsa, Hans, and Kristoff. Majority of items can be found at Disney Store, www.DisneyStore.com and JC Penney.
