"Deus Ex : Human Revolution" is a game released by Square Enix, that introduces the player to a new role in the Deus Ex history. You are Adam Jensen, a man who knows he is a badass, and does wear his sunglasses at night.
The story goes as follows : You are in Detroit in the not so distant future, where the world has been undergoing a broad technological advancemnt in human augmentation. Technology has been integrated with the human body to allow such things as highly advanced prosthetic limbs and brain augmentations to, basically have a cell phone inside your head.
The character Adam Jensen, is a security expert and works for the Sarif Corporation, at the time the world's leading augmentation science and development company. Your boss, David Sarif is the CEO and founder of the company and you are subject to missions he assigns you to do.
Your first assignment is to go meet up with the scientist Megan in the R & D Department, you soon find out that Adam and Megan are romantically involved. Once you meet up with her and finish your check, the crap hits the fan. A group of mercenary extremists burt into the compund to steal and important technology called The Typhoon. The mercenaries make short work of the scientists, and kidnap Megan, and a team she was working with. In your attempts to defend them scientists, the mercenaries all but kill you and you black out.
After that whole ordeal you wake up, after six months in and out of surgery, and you have been augmented yourself. With a new outlook on life, and a new set of arms, you set out to take revenge on the mercenaries and rescue Megan, while undiscovering a twisted plot behind the scenes of the underworld of Detroit.
Your journey takes you on a wild and secretive ride throught the world of the future while encountering a slew of enhanced and frightening enemies and evil corporations. This journey takes you to places such as China, Detroit, and some not so nice Filipino countries.
Throughout the game you collect upgrade points called Praxis Points, to further your augmentations with upgraded strength, stealth and hacking abilities and weapon upgrades as well. It is a very in-depth system wich allows you to to find secret paths, hidden items, and even a few easter eggs!
"Deus Ex : Human Revolution" is a very georgus looking game, has an interactive story with multiple paths and options in every situation you encounter, a romantic quality, and a very stylistic and unique outlook on the future. It is a reccomended buy or rent for any game, because it features multiple styles of play.
