Review of Camelbak's "Eddy Glass" bottle

Recently, Camelbak generously sent me their new Eddy Glass bottle to try out. I've always been a fan of Camelbak's unique hydration solutions so I was excited to try a new product out. The bottle holds 24 ounces, and is BPA free.

The Eddy Glass bottle looks sleek and has a nice silicon cover that goes over the glass. Although I don't enjoy cleaning the silicon (it tends to grab fibers and dirt), I think it provides a good grip on the bottle and creates a good look on the outside with fluid-looking lines. The silicon comes in 4 different colors from Camelbak's website.

I love that the bottle has a straw mechanism in it. One of my biggest pet peeves of water bottles is trying to drink them while driving, running, or in class and getting water all over the place. The straw really takes care of any rogue water droplets, which is fantastic. The straw is quiet, so you can drink from it pretty much anywhere. However, be aware that if the straw is empty (if you just refilled the bottle) it might make a comical sounding noise while you suck out the air. You have been warned.

This bottle also has the easy to carry handle on the lid, which I think is pretty much a standard in their bottles. I wouldn't advise taking this bottle running or hiking, just because if you drop it it could easily break.

Overall, I think this bottle looks sleek, makes drinking water more attractive, and would be great for a student, anyone working in a low-impact setting. It is small enough to fit in my car's cupholder, however the silicon sometimes gets a little sticky when sliding it in and out.
