Recently I received a product called Baggee & Doggee. Essentially they are dog waste disposal bag holders. These are very different than anything I have seen before. Most of the pet stores here in Tacoma sell several verities of bag holders, most require a special bag and as the owner of three dogs I can tell you that buying special bags gets expensive and sometimes they can be very hard to find. Then there is the issue of find a place to put it or way to carry it. I am not found of the clacking noise made by the hard containers hitting the leash or the feeling of them hitting my fingers while walking the dogs. They can also make it hard to tell when your almost out of bags and you don’t want to be stuck in a park with no bag. The creators of Baggee & Doggee must be dog owners and have created a wonderful solution.
Normally I use the black dog waste bags that you can pick up in most stores, normally I get mine at the Dollar Tree. Occasionally I also use plastic shopping bags as a way to recycle and reuse them. Both of these items can be a pain to try and take with you on a walk. In the past I have actually bought pants and shorts that were comfortable for a dog walk and with enough pockets to carry bags and its been a real hassle. The Baggee & Doggee ball has resolved that issue and I will no longer need to buy special clothes, special bags, or run the risk of running out bags while on a walk.
The ball is very soft and pliable, so if you hang it from your leash, keychain, belt loop, stuff it in your pocket or what ever you do with them, they are not going to cause you any harm or making the clacking noise as they bang into everything. I have three dogs and it never fails that if you bring one bag for each dog they will each go twice and if you double up and bring two per dog you drop one or all of the in the lake, river, puddle, off a cliff or other such issue. With this ball though, the bags don’t fall out and I was able to stuff eight of the black bags in the ball and still had room for a few more if need be. Because of the way the ball is shaped and the material it is made of, if you only have one bag in it, its not going to fall out either. As I sometimes use grocery bags I tried those in the ball as well and was only able to fit two bags but it was still a great fit and use.
Over all, I love the product. They are made in the UK and cost just under $8. That’s a small price to pay for the convince of the ball, the money saved in pants and shorts with pockets to hold the bags, money saved from bags lost due to dropping them and if you use only shopping bags as your dog waste disposal this will be a great way to help you continue to do that. On the Baggee & Doggee website they also sell biodegradable bags. This product may also have an interest to Moms as a way to store a few grocery bags in the diaper bag for diaper disposal or to put soiled clothing in. All around it’s a great product that I look forward to using on walks and hikes in the summer months ahead.
