In the Latest episode of Modern Family entitled ‘ Little Bo Bleep’, the family helps Claire prepare for her upcoming televised debate with Duane Bailey for the town council seat, Lily is going to be a precious flower girl for the first time, but the problem is she's just discovered her first expletive and Mitch and Cam don't know how best to deal with this new parenting test, And Jay is very concerned with Stella's recent strange behavior and puts the blame on Gloria. All in all a very normal episode for the gang but the real delight was what everyone seemed to be making a fuss over.
Something that is NOT discussed usually in shows like this, is the actual bad word, but more why it happened. Instead here, Modern Family doesn’t dwell on that but how to stop it. If it can be stopped.
Having family and friends who have children, it’s a very common fear, it’s funny, which is Cameron’s response, but also horrifying at the same time, which is Mitchell’s response, and trying to find a nice balance in between. The shock and horror of the comment ‘if you say that word one more time I will take your toys away’ with an aside of ‘ Oh my god, what are we going to do, I won’t really do that’ was hilarious as it was raw and true.
The other storyline that was worth really noting, was Claire running for office, and it was quite funny, as her family unintentionally ripped her apart and did her more harm than good. At least, that we can see. There is no thing as bad publicity in many cases, but yet, here we see Claire being bothered by some of the comments from the press but also her family as they ‘tried’ to ‘help her’.
Overall, Modern Family really does what it does best; makes humorous situations out every family situations, and this episode is no different.
