Review: Great Wolf Lodge water park in Grapevine

We recently took our kids to stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas. This trip was a blast and one of the best things about it was the water park. When you pay to stay at Great Wolf, you get passes to play in the water park while you are there.

You are allowed to enter the water park before your room is ready. To do this you have to pay $20 for a locker, but you get $10 back. The other way would be to lay your clothes around and trust people with it or leave everything in the car. A lot of people like to do this, but for my family it was a pain. We shoved stuff in lockers, played for a bit, then went to our room. In the future, we will be waiting until our room is ready.

The water park was a blast! It is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. every single day. It has something for every single age group. One thing I loved is that they have life jackets and towels laying around that you can just use for free. The lifeguards were also everywhere and paying attention.

One area is for toddlers and it is not deep so they can touch everywhere. The kids area was where my entire family had the most fun. They have water guns, buckets and more set up where you can spray the people down below you. Even the adults loved trying to hit people go by them floating down the river! They also had two slides for the entire family.

This water park has several different slides. My youngest daughter is 4 and she was able to ride every single thing, but two of them. They were too scary for her anyway!

They have a big blue slide and a big red one. I did not go on the big red one, but my husband and older daughter did and said it was a blast, but scary at the same time. This one gets pretty wild so be prepared for a huge drop off. The blue one was a lot of fun even for my 4 year old daughter.

Over all we had a blast at Great Wolf Lodge in the water park. Our favorite time was late at night. We went in there around 8 p.m. and it was not crowded at all. The kids could go from slide to slide without any lines. This was perfect!

I would highly recommend Great Wolf Lodge water park if you are looking for somewhere to take your kids. We stayed in the Wolf Den Room so make sure you check out this review as well.
