Today we'll be examining a product by an established brand that is trying to cash in on a current trend, Evan Williams Cinnamon Reserve Bourbon. As the famed Heaven Hill distillery has been covered so much in the past by this examiner, let us move right on into the review.
There really isn't much more to say about this whiskey than the following: It smells and tastes like a red hot candy. Plain and simple, nothing more needs to be said. The formula is too sweet, has none of the bourbon flavor characteristics of Evan Williams Green or Black label, and it appears to be targeting a market that does not drink whiskey. I picked up a 750 ML bottle from my local area Spec's for 12.52. Unless you are a major fan of cinnamon candy (which to its credit it replicates well), or want a bad headache the next day, I suggest you do not.
