Andaz Hotel drink menu

New York City is a hot bed of many amazing places to enjoy a good meal and drinks. From lounges, bars, restaurants, rooftops and speakeasies, there is never a shortage of places to visit. The Andaz Hotel has a bar on the bottom floor that is not only cozy, but has incredible drinks and a bartender by the name of Sean (he’s off Tuesday and Sunday, follow him on TW @seandiener) who can literally make you any drink you like and make it great.

I visited the Andaz hotel to try their new summer menu, which includes 3 ceviches that truly compliment each drink I had. The hotel has a new promotion called ‘Ceviche Saturdays’ which is pre-prohibition style cocktails and delectable Latin-style small plate dishes, the hotel will serve a Trio of Ceviche featuring Ahi Tuna Ceviche (navel orange, lime, serrano pepper, red onion and avocado oil, served with garlic chips), Striped Bass Ceviche (serrano pepper, red onion, ginger, olive oil and cilantro, served with yucca chips) and Rock Shrimp Ceviche (serrano pepper, cilantro lime juice, red onion and olive oil, served with yucca chips), along with a bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut, for $80.00. This special will be available on now until August 30th.

Lets get to the real; the ceviche was amazing but the drinks? Even better here is what I sampled:

Drinks by Sean

"Remember The Alamo"
Nice, citrusy, good balance of sweet and spice.

"Jack of Spades"
Nice complement of bitters and other ingredients like Tobala Mezcal, espresso bean and sore liqueur.

"Cat's Pajamas"
Best drink so far.. Egg white foam mixed with the lime, rum, and lillet Rosé make for an awesome combination.

"East Side" (Classic cocktail)
OMG the cucumber and mint make this incredible. It's smells as good as it taste.

"Patriot and Privateer"
It's a decent drink, great for the season but not the best in the menu.

"Bicycle Built for Two"
The lemon really comes out as well as the St Germain. Cucumber, grapefruit and orange marmalade are subtle.

"Old Fashion"
A classic, taste just like it should...

Overall, the Andaz Hotel is top notch 41/2 out of 5, perfect for a date, business meeting, drinks with friends and happy hour. The Andaz Hotel 5th Ave is located on 485 5th Avenue at 41st Street.
