It was a good day for CAPIC Cats at Amwell Pet Supply’s Grand Opening party on Saturday, January 19, 2013. The event took place from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. with CAPIC Cats as the featured rescue group participating.
“A big thank you from Amwell Pet Supply, CAPIC Cats and ElectricFM to everyone who came out to party with us yesterday,” said Hope Valenti, owner of Amwell Pet Supply. “I especially want to thank those who adopted a cat. We are proud to announce that three more CAPIC cats found homes.”
During the event, ElectricFM.com did a live broadcast from the store while a crowd of shoppers browsed the displays of dog, cat, bird, fish, and small pet supplies, toys and food. Free gifts were available along with complimentary snacks.
The Cat Adoption & Pet Information Center (CAPIC Cats) brought many cats and kittens in need of new homes to showcase at the event. They are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization based in Raritan, New Jersey who specializes in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Volunteers were available to discuss adoption procedures and tell visitors more about their rescue activities.
Also showcased was a pair of adoptable rabbits. A second cage housed small guinea pigs and rabbits for sale. The variety of fish for sale were on display in the aquarium surrounded by all the supplies one would need to fill and maintain their own aquarium at home.
Amwell Pet Supply carries all major brands of dog and cat food as well as a full line of fish, reptile, and small animal products and food. They also sell live crickets by the dozen, frozen mice, and frozen shrimp.
The store offers a Paw Print Rewards Program where a shopper can get $5 back on their purchase after spending $100.
