Last month, I was sent a copy of “And Uneasy Lies the Mind,” the first feature-length narrative film shot entirely on an iPhone. After watching the trailer, I couldn’t wait to check it out. Fan of mysterious, mind-twisting films? You might enjoy this thriller.

“And Uneasy Lies the Mind” features two couples that decide to go on a small trip to an isolated cabin. When is that ever a good idea in movies? Never. Buckle up for a rollercoaster of these character’s darkest emotions. Directed by Ricky Fosheim, “And Uneasy Lies the Mind” brings complex characters that will captivate viewers in this paranoia film.

Sure, the tagline “shot entirely on an iPhone” captivates many. And while the quality really is amazingly good, the film is worth a watch for the story itself. While it doesn’t feature award-winning acting, you will get lost in this bizarre nightmare of theirs and be too busy wondering what on earth is going on.

I’m probably making this film sound more frightening than it is. This is no “The Shining,” but it does pack enough twists and turns to keep you interested. Just don’t expect to wrap your head around it all at first, you’ll be thinking you skipped a scene or two as confusion takes over throughout the film.

“And Uneasy Lies the Mind” will be available to rent or own starting September 2 on iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play, Vudu, Redbox Instant and most cable operators. Check out the trailer over at Detention Films' Youtube.
