Avery has just met her hot upstairs neighbor. He's irresistible. Tattooed. And a virgin.
Nursing student Avery Michaels wants nothing to do with dating—she's perfectly happy single. Privy to too many of her mother's bad decisions and even worse taste in boyfriends, all Avery can handle is a string of uncomplicated hookups whenever the mood strikes.
When she meets smoking hot tattoo artist Bennett, she wants him—for just one night. But he won't accept a no-strings-attached arrangement. He lives by a straight-laced code of values based on his own troubled upbringing.
Bennett sees something special in Avery and he wants more from her. Way more. As Avery wrestles with her emotions for Bennett, danger and tragedy force them to open up to each other. And Avery must face the terrifying realization that she wants more from him, too.
So she needs to make a choice—let Bennett go or finally let him in.
All of You is the first book in the Between Breaths series. It's a hot and romantic New Adult book by author Christina Lee. It centers around Avery – a working, college student who likes to party. She doesn't do relationships. Because of issues her mom had with men, Avery has trouble with men as well. She will let them into her bed for a night, but that is all.
Avery meets her new upstairs neighbor, Bennett. He is a smoking hot tattoo artist. He may look like a bad boy, but he's totally not. He's really sweet, and a virgin. He's one of those rare guys who is waiting for love before losing his virginity. Him and Avery are complete opposites in this area.
They get to know each other better, and Avery becomes insanely attracted to him. She wants to have sex, but he refuses because he knows she doesn't do relationships. He wants more from her than sex, but she's too afraid to open up emotionally to any guy.
Bennett is definitely swoon-worthy. He just seemed perfect in every way, but too good to be true. He didn't seem to have any flaws. So even though the part in the synopsis about him being a virgin drew me to the book, it just didn't seem very believable. And for being a virgin, he sure seemed to know what he was doing in the bedroom.
At first I didn't like Avery all that much. I thought she was just really slutty. She grew on me though. She has another side to her – a kind and compassionate side that you see while she works in the nursing home. She also has a motherly side to her when it comes to her brother.
I really liked this book. I like when opposites are attracted to each other. It was interesting with the roles being reversed in this book. Usually in new adult books, it's the guy who is the man-whore. There was a lot of sexual tension in this book, from almost the beginning. It just keeps building and building until it just eventually boils over. This book is really sexy, so if you're squeamish about that you might want to pass. There is a lot of sweet romance there too though. I'm looking forward to the next book. If you're a fan of the New Adult genre, then I suggest picking this one up.
