PlayStation 3 classic Resistance 2 is a refreshing look back to all the games that first appeared among the first years of the PlayStation 3, and boy does this one stand out.
Its story takes place after the first Resistance game, Resistance: Fall of Man where you play as Nathan Hale who is the main character in both of the games. In most games where the main character is rehearsed, it becomes really boring. But with Resistance you are never bored. The story itself is rather interesting too as you are fighting against a mutant race to save earth.
You are constantly thrown into action filled battles and fun mini boss fights and big boss fights along with awesome powered guns that are really well done. However some parts in the game may prove to be a bit too difficult so there is a lot of hiding and ducking at these parts that provide a nice challenge.
The graphics for Resistance are very nice. They’re not too bad nor are they tremendous, but just right. In some parts it can be too dark to see because of the shading but this is very minor and barely happens at all and the physical engine used in the game is very similar to that of Halo.
Overall, this is a game that very well deserves to be played and can be enjoyed by all age groups and gamers of all types. This game has earned a very well deserved 5/5 stars. I recommend this to anyone looking for a game to play and if they want a challenge here and there.
