As a kid I use to love going into the local grocery store and getting some peanut butter cups out of a bin for $0.15 each. I'd drop a whole dollar or two on those things.
As inflation has caused prices to go up its harder to find individual peanut butter cups for cheap, let alone sold individually. Luckily, I wandered in Trader Joe's and perused all of the chocolate offerings and to my delight I saw they sold their own peanut butter cups.
They have this wonderful bag of 9 dark chocolate covered peanut butter cups for only $0.99. It's a great value for the price and a great portion too. Of course if you're like me and 9 cup may not be enough they have this larger bucket that's $4.99 and has about 35-40 cups in it. That could keep you going for about 3-5 days.
The dark chocolate used is not too bitter and works well with the creamy, thick peanut butter Trader Joe's uses for the cups. It has a nice burst of salty and sweet on the first bite that is just wonderful for in a peanut butter cup. And they are the perfect size to pop in your mouth while on the move. I just finished the last on my $0.99 bag so I'll be looking to grab up some more soon and pick up some other treats on my next Trader Joe's visit.
