Redline takes you on an adrenaline filled race to the finish line

The anime film market puts out a non-stop array of titles for every genre. Most of them are pretty average and forgettable. For all those generic films, every so often one stands out whether it is from being a good film or just so over the top you can’t get it out of your head for whatever reason. Redline is the latest anime to hit the shelves and promises everything you would expect from this genre, but will it be just another to add to the pile or will it hit the gas and race to the front of the pack?

Redline follows the toughest and most destructive underground race in the galaxy that only takes place every five years. In order to win the finals, the racers are up against the most aggressive and talented drivers on the race scene. The only rule of the race is that there are no rules. If ever a movie was made for high-definition and surround sound it is this film. The animation itself is over the top and looks amazing. It is bright and vibrant really adding to the overall feel of the film itself. This movie is a cross between Fast and the Furious, Death Race 2000, with a splash of the wacky races. Full of over-the top characters and cars that leads you on an adrenaline fueled ride until the very end. The story is pretty simple, but works as the true star of this film are the races themselves.
