National best selling author Jacquelin Thomas has effectively delivered God's message of forgiveness and true love in her inspirational story Redemption. Her attempt to present an authentic view of christian love and romance in today's world was successful. What's even better is she was able to keep the focus on spiritual truths and not succumb to the need to fit into some worldly way of telling the same story.
Reading experience:
The story is 281 pages of intentionally inspirational fiction - light and fluffy in the beginning but very intense in the end. Each chapter gets to the point pretty quickly. No sermons or lectures in this tale just leisurely reading that's sometimes ideal, wonderful but other times very sad, even challenging a lot like real life.
Main message:
One of the most important themes entertwined in this anecdote is the acknowledgement of the difference between earthly love and biblical love. The true meaning of love seems to jump off the page and into your heart as a gentle reminder. Redemption especially makes a relatable comparison between a husband/wife relationship and that of Christ and the church.
Conclusion:
This was a really good book full of real life and biblical principles with no compromise of the latter.
