It’s always such a joy to visit Weill Hall, but, when the visit includes a picnic supper on the lawn, the Santa Rosa symphony, Judy Collins AND a splendid fireworks on the lawn, well... that’s damn hard to beat. Oh yes... before the concert there was high energy fun provided by The Dixie Giants, a Sonoma County Dixie Land Band; and that ladies and gentlemen was this year’s 4th of July celebration at the Green Music Center’s Weill Hall on the Sonoma State University’s campus in Rohnert Park.
The 4th of July celebration Kicked off this year’s summer long concert season, a season offering a mix of pop, jazz, classical and everyone’s favorite ol’ curmudgeon, Bill Mhar.
July: Tuesday, July 15 – Festival de Sole with violinist Pinchas Zukerman performing the Bruch Violin Concerto.
Sunday, July 20 - Lyle Lovett
Saturday, July 26 – The Hall plays host to The San Francisco Symphony and on July 31st, the Santa Rosa Symphony is offering a free concert for the entire community.
