Mummies unfortunately suffer from iconic monster syndrome. Boris Karloff's Imhotep has become the staple for every mummy since, with one hand extended, the other clutched to its breast, and the entire body covered in wrappings. The problem is that this image has become stale and isn't all that exciting in miniature form. Fortunately sculptor Bob Ridolfi had a lot more leeway with Khadath.

Painted and unpainted.
Reaper

Nefsokar -- Reaper's Egyptian equivalent -- must be a pretty dangerous place, if Khadath's weapons are any indication. He's not wielding one, but two khopeshes, the wicked hooked blades associated with Egyptian warfare. With his wrappings sloughing off of him, Khadath looks like he was roused from his eternal rest in a hurry to smite some evildoers. An excellent sculpt to cure your mummy blues

Incidentally, "Kadath" is a huge castle atop a mountain in H.P. Lovecraft's Dreamlands where the Great Old Ones. You can purchase this miniature at Amazon.
