There is an uproar in the Chamber of the Teensies and The Fairy Council as Robot-Pirates from deep within space have arrived in your world and seek to conquer and enslave the entire world. In Rayman 3D, you and your friends must band together to fend off these evil Robot-Pirates. Your battle first begins in The Great Forest, where a majority of the Pirates are. After The Great Forest, you venture into other areas on your quest to defeat the Pirates and the Pirate leader Razorbeard. You have a variety of moves to defeat your opponents, including strafing, jumping, flying, and firing your energy spears. Throughout the game, you will have to hang onto ropes, climb nets, and climb between two walls. You will have to do these things often to find the hidden cages in each area. Also in each area, you will find many objects to interact with; Rayman can use gunpowder kegs to break open doors that have sticking plasters in front of them. There are several switches that Rayman will need to activate to open certain doors and lower bridges. Scattered throughout each area are magic sphere that can be placed on magic pedestal of the same color. Once you place all of these magical spheres, you can unlock a temple door. As you explore each area, you will find different color energy lums. Yellow lums are scattered throughout each area; the more of these you find, the more areas you can access. Red lums are used to restore your health. Rayman can grab onto Purple lums to get across big gaps. Blue lums are used to restore Rayman's health while he is under water. You can save your progress in the area with Green lums. These game is somewhat fun, but there could have been more enemies in each area. Also, some of the enemies themselves didn't offer that much of a challenge. I would say the only fun part about this game is using Rayman's moves to get through the areas.
