Gary, Jay, and Joe made their way up I-77 north to Youngstown for their annual trip to the Covelli Centre to party with 6,000 “Flatts Heads” at a SOLD-OUT show for the “Changed Tour”.
Kicking off the party is the country trio of The Band Perry, famously known for "If I Die Young" The band had a full production set as well which was amazing for an opening group. The trio played songs like "You Lie”, “Love Your Life," The Band also did a cover of "I Will Always Love You", which gave Goosebumps and made the crowd go wild when Kim hit the high note of the song. The trio also played rendition of "Fat Bottom Girls", "We are Young". They also played their new catchy single "Better Dig Two" which had the people stomping, clapping and having a good ole time!
The Powerhouse Trio of Rascal Flatts brought out all the guns for the show to give the crowd what they were looking for, Including multiple keyboards that came out of the stage, a stage that extended out two different pits to give the crowd the “in your face” experience and an amazing lighting and video display. The Trio performed majority of their hits like “My Wish”, “God Bless the Broken Road”, “Stand”, ”Skin” plus including a little summer loving in the dead cold of winter with “Summer Nights” giving the crowd a little hope for the summer! The Band also performed a couple latest hits off of the “Changed” Album like “Changed”, “Banjo”.
The group also did a little 4 song request set where members of the audience were able to shout out request of songs that they don't usually play on the set. The Audience requested an OLD Song of “Everyday” which the guys had a little issue remembering the lyrics and even the cords. They pressed through it and sounded awesome after they figured it all out.
The country dual also did several of their favorite Journey songs, as they just came off their performance with the legendary group on CMT Crossroads during the Super Bowl weekend, which gave Goosebumps to people in the audience when the keyboard part of "Faithfully", and jammed out to Don't Stop Believing.
If you haven't seen Gary, Jay or Joe in live than what are you waiting for? The Band after almost a decade of being together hasn't lost a step yet in their performance and keeps getting better year after year.
