Puddle of Mudd Rocks NYE at The Whisky a Go Go (Photos)

If you are a music lover, the Sunset Strip in Hollywood is the place to be on New Years Eve. We music lovers who love all forms of Rock would much rather be at a show at a legendary West Hollywood club than watching a ball drop in New York. This year was no exception and this year The Whisky a Go Go was our (my wife and I) choice of legendary venues to see the Platinum selling band who rose to fame in the early 2000's: Puddle of Mudd.

As great as Puddle of Mudd is, and they are amazing, a different band hailing from Southern California brought us to the show. Tweaked 4 Play (T4P) is a up and coming band poised for a break out year in 2013. With a new drummer joining the band recently, and this being his first gig with the band, I wasn't sure how they would gel on stage or how they would sound. My worries were quickly put to rest and I can say they looked and sounded better than ever.

Seven bands in total played the show, including: Puddle of Mudd (headlining), Slant, T4P, Sound Cannon, I wish we were Robots, Space Milk, and After All. This was a great show from start (After All) to finish (Puddle of Mudd), but my favorite performances among the up and coming bands were from T4P, Slant, and a new band (to me) - San Diego based Space Milk. Slant is another band from SoCal making noise and on the rise. Space Milk - I hadn't heard of them before but I will not forget them. The best I can describe their sound is Punk/Rock meets Psychobilly without an upright bass. As far as their show - high energy and tons of fun.
