Psych “No Country For Two Old Men” In Review

On last nights episode of Psych we met Juliet’s Step Father, Lloyd. Shawn and Jules have a house warming party after just moving in together. Shawn wants his father and Juliet’s stepfather to be friends so he sets up at lunch for them. Meanwhile Gus is trying to adjust to the fact that his new girlfriend has a kid. As it turns out Lloyd isn’t quite what he appears to be, he has a gambling problem and owes money to a really bad guy. Henry offers to pick up a package for Lloyd on the way to meeting him for lunch when Henry gets the package some guys start to chase him and shoot at him. Lloyd shows up and saves Henry; Henry wants to know what is going on. Lloyd tells him that the Mexican’s chasing them want the package that he has. Lloyd is delivering the package to someone he owes money to, to pay off his det. Henry goes with him not knowing that where he has to deliver the package is in Mexico.
Lassiter receives a call about a shooting at the mailbox place by Henry’s house. Based on the description of the people that where being shot out Juliet and Shawn realize they are Henry and Lloyd and set out to find them. Juliet, Shaw and Gus go to Mexico to find them.
Juliet has been keeping Lloyd’s past from her Mom, because Lloyd has cleaned up his act. However after learn about the mess that he is in now, she is disappointed in him. And that he is just like her Dad. Jules doesn’t like to be lied to. It seems like they are setting things up for Juliet to find out that Shawn is not psychic. When she does find out about Shawn based on what we know about Juliet she is not going to take it well and will be upset with Shawn.
Once Lloyd and Henry land in Mexico they are taken into custody of the Mexican police. Detective Lamas, or as Shawn calls him the Mexican Lassiter, believes the package that Lloyd has is the stolen engraving plates and that he is delivering them to Pablo Nunez a wanted criminal. As it turns out in the package is just cuff links that he is delivering to Pablo. When they go to Pablo’s he insist that they stay the night. Lloyd ends up finding the plates at Pablo’s and takes them so he and Henry can bring them to the police. As they are leaving Pablo catches them. Pablo plans on killing Lloyd and Henry, however Shawn, Juliet and Gus find them before he can, and the Mexican police arrest Pablo. In another twist Lamas kidnaps Lloyd and steals the plates and plans on framing Lloyd. Once Juliet and Shawn find out that Lloyd never made it back to the U.S. they head back to Mexico to save Lloyd.
In the end Juliet tells Lloyd that she won’t saying anything to her mom about what had happen if Lloyd promises to never do anything like that again.
The episode was a fun episode Lloyd and Henry’s little adventure was great, it was nice to see Henry back in action. Gus freak out about his girlfriends kid was in character. Shawn and Juliet seem to be getting more serious, and they seem to be setting up for Jules to find out Shawn isn’t psychic.
