Established in 2008, Love Grown Foods is one of the newer entrants into the gluten-free cereal space with their Oat Clusters & Love line. This range of wholesome, naturally sweetened granolas was created by two college students at University of Denver, Maddy D’Amato and Alex Hasulak, with the goal of providing nutritious, great-tasting food that supports a healthy, active lifestyle. The brand first hit store shelves in Colorado in May 2009 and has quickly blossomed into one of the fastest-growing gluten-free granolas on the market, now enjoying distribution in more than 28 states, including Arizona.
Oat Clusters & Love boasts five flavor varieties: Raisin Almond Crunch, Apple Walnut Delight, Sweet Cranberry Pecan, Cocoa Goodness and Simply Oats. All are made with certified gluten-free oats, contain no hydrogenated oils and are sweetened only with honey and organic agave syrup.
If you like your granola on the chunky side, full of whole nuts, plenty of fruit and large clusters of oat, then this product is for you. Oat Clusters & Love doesn’t skimp on the ingredients. The Raisin Almond Crunch, our personal favorite, contains an abundance large, whole almonds, plump raisins and long ribbons of dried coconut along with sweet cinnamon. The Cranberry Pecan is loaded with large chunks of pecan and apple juice-sweetened cranberries, while the Cocoa Goodness – a unique offering – consists of cocoa-laden oat clusters studded with 63% dark chocolate chips. All varieties come in a convenient 12oz resealable pouch.
In addition to the outstanding taste, generous helping of fruit and nuts, and crunchy texture, we love that this line contains no cane sugar, corn syrup or other refined ingredients. It’s sweet, but not overpoweringly so. Covered in milk or sprinkled atop yogurt or ice cream, this product is a winner – definitely one of our best finds of the year thus far.
