When was the last time you received a postcard in the mail? These days we receive fewer and fewer pieces of postal mail from our loved ones. Instagram, Facebook and digital images have taken over. But Printic, my new favorite FREE app, is here to change that. Available for both the Android and iPhone platforms you can’t go wrong downloading this amazing little app that can instantly send some mail love to your family and friends (and even to yourself to enjoy some instant mail love).

What’s so great about Printic? First it is super fast and easy to use. Second, it takes the pain of purchasing a stamp, getting an envelope and sending it in the mail. Just take several of your favorite photos straight from your smartphone, add a couple of lines of text and then have your personal secretary (also known as Printic) pop them in the mail for you, postage and all. The prints are top-of-the-line, glossy 3-by-4 inch Polaroid-type prints.

My family and I were recently on holiday in Hawaii. I usually have each of my kids pick a few postcards to mail to family and friends. The postcards aren’t personal because they are not our own images. So this time we took our own photos added text and mailed them while sipping Mai Tai’s on the beach. It couldn’t get any easier.

Every year I send a couple of postcards to my first grade teacher who is now 95-years-old. She does not have email as she finds it too complicated. So this year I mailed her three of my favorite photos rather than a postcard as I have in the past. I can’t wait to hear how she likes them.

So the next time you are on vacation or even if you want to send yourself a print of some milestone moments that you shot with your smartphone, be sure to download your FREE copy of Printic now. I’m adding Printic to my list of favorite Free Apps for your smartphone.
