The women took over the set in this week's showing of 'Preachers of L.A.' Myesha hosted a spectacular tea party that featured delicate food and a bit of tension.
All was going successfully well when Loretta, who was invited by Myesha against the advice of LaVette, began to answer questions about her and Bishop Jones' relationship. The women were shocked to hear that Loretta and the bishop had been in an undefined relationship for 16 years and LaVette, Bishop Gibson's wife, admonished the businesswoman not to wait too much longer to marry the once divorced clergyman. That's where things got heated.
Loretta got on the defensive side and told LaVette that she wasn't aiming to wed Bishop Jones in the near future. "Let me be clear. Let's not assume that I'm here to be his wife," was more along the lines of what Miss Loretta said. After giving her the look, LaVette offered words of encouragement and the scene ended on a happy note.
I must say that out of all of the episodes to date, this was probably the best showing of 'Preachers of L.A.' There were no serious arguments, and no comments that would make a believer want to grab his or her Bible for a reference check. Will the docu-series continue in this manner as the weeks progress? We shall see.
