Prada is not your typical men's cologne. A typical cologne will start off strong when you first spray it. Then it dries down to a more settle note. Prada Luna Rossa starts off light and then rises up! This really got my attention because I didn't know a cologne could do that. In fact, I could barely smell it when I first sprayed it for a customer (by request). It didn't really floor me or have that "wow factor" that I look for. I laid the card down that I sprayed with Prada and proceeded to introduce other brands that I favor. When we came back later to smell the Prada card, it was more intense. Now, I get it. The base notes are not always weaker than the top notes and heart notes. The lavender and bitter orange you first smell in Prada is less prominent than the bottom notes of ambrette absolute and ambroxan. I recommend spraying this fragrance on the back of the knees- allowing it to rise. Using this technique, it should last all day. If you're looking for a sexy-grown man fragrance that will "kill'em", this might be the weapon you need. Five stars!
