Summary: The Christian Worldview is a weekly, hour long broadcast which takes the form of a news/editorial/call-in show. Focusing on political news from a Christian perspective, the show generally starts with a topic or question such as “Where is America headed in the coming year?” then will review various news items to answer the question. After this, the speaker will take caller comments related to the question they just asked. The show ends with a wrap up and review. This show will occasionally do interviews with prominent guests.
The Good: Very few podcasts or national broadcasts focus on the specifically Christian perspective of news events. Even fewer allow their listeners to participate in the show by offering their own perspective. This show fills a specific nitch beneficial to a conservative Christian public.
The Bad: This show does very little in the way of reporting, being almost entirely editorializing. The speaker is clearly quite biased toward his own perspective, and assumes that all the listeners will share his perspective without making specific arguments for why his views represent the Biblical views. This being the case, the show resembles a pundit-driven broadcast.
Conclusion: The show could clearly be better organized and run. The listener, whether or not they share the exact perspective of the speaker, is left feeling that if they have an alternate perspective, that they are not being Christian or Biblical. This may be the case, but the speaker rarely defends his perspective, instead simply asserting it. This show could be improved with some teaching rather than being almost entirely assertion. This show will appeal to the ultra-conservative, but may seem slightly offensive to anyone else.
